The publisher (Awe-Struck E-Books), and the author enter into the following agreement:
1. The publisher will assign a new isbn number for the work named below and will send it to digitz.net, for printing as a print on demand, trade quality paperbound book:

2. The publisher will furnish digitz.net with an electronic file of the book, formatted, for the digitz.net to use as a master copy for printing purposes. The publisher will format the book for the author in Word/Postscript/pdf and will supply the front matter, the author bio page, and no more than two pages of Awe-Struck advertisement at the end of the book.
3. Awe-Struck will provide the cover art free of charge. If the author has had the cover designed outside the Awe-Struck services, the author must supply the publisher the cover art at the specifications for print books posted at http://www.awe-struck.net/asubmit/authsub.html, which the publisher will send to digitz.net.
4. The novel will be published under the name of Earthling Press, the print subsidiary of Awe-Struck E-Books.
5. The publisher will check the proofs in a timely manner so that printing may begin. If there is ample time BEFORE the book/cover is uploaded, the author may see the finished pdf files. Authors are requested to proofread their books during the electronic printing process. Formatting errors may be checked for print, but no other changes can be made by the author at that time. Any changes in the text or the cover after the book is uploaded to digitz are the financial responsibility of the author, and will cost $75.00 USD per change.
6. The author agrees to abide by the agreement made with digitz.net and the publisher, and to pay any fees associated with the publishing of the novel as stated in this contract. These fees change from time to time. Check with the publisher to find out the latest information. In this case, the author will agree to purchase from digitz.net, 30 copies of the book (at wholesale price) plus shipping costs, within 45 days of the release of the book. The publisher will also provide the ISBN# to digitz.net.
The author agrees to pay the digitz upfront fee, due at least 60 days before the book is prepared for the printer.
7. The publisher will set the retail price of the novel, allowing for discounts to the bookstores and distributors. The wholesale price is based upon length of the book and the publisher’s percentage.
8. The publisher will register the print title at Booksurge.com (our preferred outlet) as well as Awe-Struck.net The author is encouraged to register the book at other outlets as well. The publisher will register the book with Bowkers for Books in Print within three months of the book’s release as a print book.
9. The publisher will advertise the print version for sale at the Awe-Struck site and for sales generated through that site, the author will receive a flat fee of $1.20 USD for each book sold.
10. The author will be required to provide books to sell at signings, conventions, bookstores, and conferences. Because such orders are placed through the printer, the subsequent sales will count towards sales totals.
11. Digitz.net is responsible for shipping of the books to customers. The customer pays the shipping fees. Shipping costs for books sent to the author will be paid for by the author.
12. The publisher will do everything in its power to assure that the book is of the highest quality and is produced in a timely manner and will work with the manuscript until it is finished. The author holds the publisher harmless for any costs incurred for books that must be reprinted or reshipped, if the problem is beyond the publisher's control and/or not caused by the publisher.
13. This contract will be in force for two years after the date of the print book's release and is renewable by consent of both parties.
14.) The Author agrees to deliver to Publisher the completed Work no later than six (6) months prior to the above-agreed-upon Release Date, in the format agreed upon by the Publisher's Executive Editor and the Author. The Publisher reserves the right of final approval on final Work submissions. The Author shall be notified of such acceptance within thirty (30) days of receipt of Work or revised Work.
