Download FREE EBOOK, Shadow of Love
eBookman Instructions
Before you can put your ebook into your eBookman, you will first have to drag the file into the correct folder. It will help to visualize the steps with an illustration.
There are 7 folders to navigate through, but if you study the illustration on the left, it will be very easy. Look at the lower left corner where you see the C drive folder. We don't think of it as a folder, but it is. It's the root folder, but we see it as an icon rather than a folder. To get to the C drive, first double-click open the My Computer icon. Double-clicking the icon reveals the Programs folder inside. Double-clicking the Programs folder reveals the Franklin Electronic Publishers folder, and so on. Go counter clockwise around the illustration, ending with the second Contents folder. This is the window you drag your ebooks into.
Once you have ebooks in the second Contents folder, Put the eBookman into its cradle, then turn it on. Start the eBookman application on your PC.
When you start the eBookman application on your PC, you will first see this window, (reduced 50% in size to save screen space in this tutorial). Click the "pane" icon as indicated.
Although you can hot synch like you would with the Palm or Pocket PC, you don't have to. The "pane" view will allow you to install just ebooks without having to synchronize everything- a real time saver.
This is the pane view where you see the ebooks (those you've previously dragged into the second Contents folder) on the left, and all of the files on your eBookman on the right. Just double-click any or all files on the left to install them on your eBookman. You're done! Close everything down. Then turn your eBookman back on. The eBookman desktop should show. You will see the icons of the books you've installed. Just tap the book you want and it will open. And you're on your way! :-)
