| * I really love the fact that AweStruck has kept their prices really reasonable and that you offer such a wide selection of books. | |||
| And prices will continue to stay reasonable. We're all havin' fun, here. Why raise prices and spoil the fun?! <g> | |||
| * I can't think of anything layout wise that's missing. It's very easy to navigate around and find what your looking for. I think the newsletter each month and the specials are great. The only thing I can think of that I would like to see is more "spicier" romance titles. | |||
| We're workin' on it! | |||
| * I like that the site is easy to surf. I really like that Awe-Struck has books with disabled heroines. I think the Ennoble line is great. I'd like to see more books with disabled heroes. I'd also like to see more paranormal stories, ghosts, witches, time travel from past to present, from present to future, any combination of these things. Another thing I'd like is the option to pay by money order. There really isn't anything I dislike about Awe-Struck. | |||
| The Ennoble line featuring characters with disabilities is our most unique offering. Few publishers even release these kinds of books, let alone promote them. And while many publishers release science fiction and fantasy titles, we feel we offer some really fine books in that genre as well. | |||
| * What I like about Awe Struck is the price of course, you have a nice selection, my mother never complains it take a genius to buy a book there, some sites drive her crazy. And every book I have read has been great, you have a fine selection of authors, very talented, I have no dislikes, other than lack of time to read all I would like to, I hope to change that this summer. | |||
| Yay, Mom! If Mom is satisfied, everyone's satisfied. <g> | |||
| * I love Awe-Struck! One of the main reasons I keep returning to your site for ebooks is the marvelous variety. Everything from sci-fi to historicals to inspirational fiction. There's a little something for everyone. The prices are very reasonable, even without the periodic sales and specials, but what I love most is the ease with which I can order, pay for and download ebooks. With other sites, the total transaction may take up to two days. With Awe-struck, I can choose an ebook, pay for it and start reading within minutes. I also appreciate the wide variety of formats available for download and the chapter previews provided. | |||
| The beauty of ebooks is that we can provide, online, a substantial portion of the book. Most readers know by reading the first three chapters if they like the book or not. It's the perfect way to shop for books. | |||
| The previous customer also commented- As for dislikes, I don't really have any, but I would like to see an increase in the number of Inspirational Fiction/Christian Fiction titles offered. I pretty much have every single title in this category and would like more. This category and the Historicals are my favorite, but I've downloaded selections in many other categories as well. I've been pleased with every single book I've ever purchased from you. | |||
| We realize that many customers love our inspirational fiction. With our planet in turmoil, many readers find comfort in a wholesome story about love. We will continue to publish inspirational novels and will do our best to keep 'em comin'. | |||
| * I think larger print on the menu on the front page and also on the links at the bottom of each page would make it easier to select and see. A link back to the home page at the top would also be good. | |||
| The reason the print is small on the left menu is because we have so many places for you to go. But did you know that the newer browsers have a way to magnify the print on your screen? If you use Internet Explorer, for example, just go to View. Then choose Text Zoom. You'll see a drop-down menu with various magnifications all the way up to 300%. | |||
| * I like this site because - nice and simple and easy. Good, friendly customer support and responses.(This is important to me, especially with smaller ebook sellers. Not too long ago 1 particular ebk publisher's site was hacked into - although they did email 2 notifications to discontinue charge cards, they couldn't be contacted for 2 weeks-either by email or phone), and then did not respond to my inquiry for further clarification as to exactly what was hacked into (list or charge card info) - they only sent an abrupt, rude email to my inquiry 2 wks. later to check original email sent. I haven't bought from them since - more because of the poor response than the aggravation of change my card. So this is really an important issue with me). | |||
| And well it should be. If a customer has a problem, we do our very best to fix it immediately. | |||
| * Good prices, and offer occasional promotions, gift certificates good idea too. I like that new releases are discounted - many ebk sites do this. I expect to pay less for ebooks vs. print books, due to paper cost & mailing savings. I've noticed that ebook prices have gone up recently at several sites, but not here - and many of those are really reissues of an author's earlier print books. And, I really like the 3-chaper previews - a little more of an excerpt gives me a better idea if it's a book I'd be interested in. One thing that would be nice is to browse by author name, to see all their titles in one spot (unless I've missed how to do this). | |||
| Actually, you've missed it. But this is because we have this option on our main home page menu, and we've already discussed how long the menu is. The author page got buried in all our links. We responded to this customer's plight and have made a simple jump menu that appears in the right-hand column on our home page. Click "Find" and you'll see three ways to find books: by title; by author; by genre. The author page is an alphabetical listing of authors, with links to all their books. | |||
| * I look for more regency or historical romances at awe-struck. | |||
| Regency romance is one of our most popular genres, so you can bet we'll continue to add more titles. | |||
| * I would like to see more science fiction romances, vampire romances, shapeshifter romances, and regencies. | |||
| So would we. We're always on the lookout for this kind of title. Interestingly, science fiction romance doesn't appear on many publishers' sites. But we've got a lot of 'em. Watch for "Country Priestess" coming out in September. If you like true love and aliens, you'll love this book. | |||
| * I like Awestruck e-books because it was an instantaneous download. Within minutes of ordering the books i recieved the email with the link for the downloads. So nice to be able to order the books in the middle of the night without worrying about the bookstore not being closed. The only thing i would like to see differently on the site is an easier way to search books. if i wanted to find all the books by one author it takes some time to figure out how to get to that page. As well as an easier way to get to the shopping cart when you are ready to check out. | |||
| Some publishers still send ebooks to customers by email attachment. So the customer has to wait until someone sees an order come through, then send out the book. We don't do that, as this customer well knows. You just click the Buy button, and in seconds your receipt is in your mailbox. The receipt gives you the URL of the download site. It also gives you the password to unzip your book so you can read it. It's slick and it's fast, it's Mac as well as PC friendly, and our customers love it! | |||
| * I really like Awe-Struck and I really like the prices you give to members. But, I would really, really love to see excerpts. Excerpts really decide which books I am interested in in buying. I don't really go for reviews too much because that is basically one person's opinion. The excerpts do not have to be real long, even a couple of paragraphs will do, just enough to tantalize and entice me to buy. I get over 800 messages a day, so delete quite a bit. But when I see anything in the subject line that says "excerpt," I will save it and read it. I love books and am always looking for new authors. This is the best way to get my attention and to make me want to purchase the book. | |||
| We do have excerpts for every book, but we are also in the process of "remodeling" the look of our pages, and this may be why this customer is confused. If you scroll down any description page, you'll see the excerpt. The excerpts on the old style pages have a white background, while excerpts on the newer style pages have a tan background. Either way, the excerpt is there. In a few instances, as we remodel pages we find that for some odd reason there's no excerpt. We have found only a very few pages lacking excerpts, and when we run across them we put an excerpt there. We agree with the customer that an excerpt is a good way to see if you even want to read the three-chapter preview. It's just another way to make your shopping easy and fast. | |||
