A
small smile brushed across his lips. "I'm not mad at you, you silly
goose. If it hadn't been for you, Hilary wouldn't be upstairs right
now." The smile deepened into something more than pure gratitude
and Anna shivered in anticipation as he stood again, walking around
the desk until he stood directly over her.
She
sighed as he bent and brushed his lips through her hair, feeling
the warmth of his breath against her scalp. At that minute, she
couldn't have cared less about propriety. She just wanted him to
kiss her properly, to taste his lips on hers, to feel his warmth
hard up against her. Her tummy trembling, she bent her head upwards,
offering him her face. But instead of kissing her, he brushed a
strand of hair off her forehead, tucking it gently behind her ear
before moving behind her and wrapping his arms around her shoulders,
pulling her back against the chair and into his embrace. His hands
were clasped at her waist, trapping her securely, and he nuzzled
the nape of her neck, puffing a teasing breath into her ear as his
lips moved closer to her face.
Anna
couldn't help herself, pushing more firmly against him and leaning
her head back until his lips were over her forehead; then he was
covering her closed eyes with tiny moist kisses, tracing a line
down her cheek until his lips finally found hers. The wait had been
excruciating, but now that he'd claimed her mouth for his, he didn't
hold back. As his lips moulded over hers, his fingers kneaded her
stomach. Helpless to her own desire, she kissed him back, deepening
the kiss and encouraging him as her tongue met with his.
She
reached her arms behind the chair, stretching until her hands came
in contact with his thighs. She stroked them rhythmically with her
palms, up and down, smoothing against the fabric, as he let his
own hands stray from the safety of her tummy. He cupped her breasts
lightly, his mouth never leaving hers, then his thumbs were reaching
out for her nipples, squeezing and stroking through the fine fabric
of her shirt. Already hard, they sent flames zigzagging through
her body, pooling between her legs. Unthinking, she relaxed even
further, enjoying his caresses, her arms snaking up around his neck
to hold him close.
She
had no idea how long their kiss went on, she was drowning in the
comfort of his arms, but she flinched and sat up suddenly when a
car door slammed on the street outside. More reluctantly, Kel pulled
away, not immediately releasing her. The sun was just starting to
peek around the edge of the curtains, and she shuffled in the chair,
noticing the daylight that was pushing the shadows back to the corners
of the room.
