Kay Furness spent her childhood moving around the UK, from the West Country to the Isle of Man to Scotland, where she took her two history degrees, and wherever Ms. Furness was, there were always hundreds of books! She always wanted to be a historical writer and has a passion for the Regency period; Furness started off writing Regencies for her sister, who is also a huge Georgette Heyer fan, then decided to try writing for publication. Furness was lucky enough to be accepted by Awe-Struck and have her first book coming out in June.

Kay Furness currently lives in Kent with her husband and works in the middle of Regency London, which is a constant inspiration. Kay is a voracious reader and loves finding new authors to enjoy. For her old favourites, she particularly loves the sheer skill of Jane Austen, and the unbeatable story-telling genius of George Macdonald Fraser.
