Janis Susan May is proud to be a seventh generation Texan. Possessed of a very low boredom tolerance, she has held a variety of jobs. including talent agent, singer, actress, advertising executive, editor in chief of two multi-magazine publishing groups, jewelry designer and supervisor of accessioning for a bio-genetic DNA testing lab. She was also one of the original founders of Romance Writers of America. Janis Susan has lived in Mexico and traveled over much of the world; she speaks four languages with, as she says, a wide variance in fluency. She has always been interested in archaeology and Egyptology and has just recently been contracted to write part of a college textbook on archaeological illustration, her assignment being The History of Archaeological Illustration Before the Napoleonic Paradigm of 1798. Janis Susan and her husband, a Captain in the United States Naval Reserve who proposed in a moonlit garden near the Giza pyramids, live in Texas with a varying assortment of cats and dogs.
